New Jersey lawyer, Jane A. Herchenroder, graduated from Rutgers College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Post graduation she obtained a paralegal certificate at New York University before enrolling at Seton Hall Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1984. Following graduation from law school, Ms. Herchenroder worked as an attorney at Hunterdon County Legal Service Corporation (now part of Legal Services of Northwest Jersey – LSNWJ). Thereafter, she served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Law at the Seton Hall Law School Center for Social Justice. In 1995, Ms. Herchenroder entered private practice where she remains today.
Honoring her commitment to public service, Ms. Herchenroder joined the Board of Trustees of the non-profit organization – LSNWJ where she has served for over 10 years, most recently as its Secretary. She also trains Legal Services attorneys on a pro bono basis, giving yearly lectures on child support procedures in New Jersey. Ms. Herchenroder is admitted to practice in the New Jersey state and federal courts and had five of her case decisions published: four in the Appellate Division and one in the New Jersey Supreme Court, setting legal precedent in each case. Ms. Herchenroder is also an adjunct instructor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Paralegal Studies Program, where she teaches Family Law, Residential Real Estate Law, and Ethics.
